Portman, National Real Estate Advisors Top Out Atlanta Tower
Set for completion this summer, the project will be located in Atlanta's Midtown neighborhood.
A joint venture between Portman Holdings and National Real Estate Advisors has announced the imminent topping out of Sora at Spring Quarter, a 30-story luxury residential tower in Atlanta’s Midtown neighborhood. The 370-unit project is slated for delivery this summer.
Situated at the intersection of Spring Street and 10th Street, Sora marks the initial phase of Portman’s Spring Quarter mixed-use development. Local architect Cooper Carry will oversee the building’s design, while Fogarty Finger will handle interior design. Pre-leasing at Sora will commence next month.
Forthcoming amenities include an infrared sauna, multiple fitness centers featuring a climbing wall, golf simulators, as well as party rooms, coworking spaces, a pet spa and a media room. Additionally, Sora will feature a pool, a sky lounge, and various retail offerings on the ground level. A pedestrian paseo situated on the tower’s northern edge will link the building with the historic Patterson chapel, which Portman intends to transform into a day-to-night retail hub.
Atlanta development ramps up
Spring Quarter will also feature 1020 Spring, a Class A office tower spanning 525,000 square feet, as well as a combined retail space of 40,000 square feet. The restoration of The Patterson is currently in progress and construction on 1020 Spring began in April last year. The entire project is slated for completion in the third quarter of 2024.
According to a recent Yardi Matrix report, Atlanta’s multifamily construction maintained a rapid pace throughout 2022, making it one of the leading markets for residential deliveries. As of November 2022, over 10,000 units were already delivered, and an additional 33,086 units were under construction.
