Leander, Texas—PinPoint Commercial LP and Thrive Senior Living have tapped Cadence McShane Construction Co. to build Legacy at Crystal Falls, the joint venture’s new senior living development in central Texas. The property will occupy 5.1 acres in Leander, a town just north of Austin.

When complete, Legacy at Crystal Falls will include residential units for 140 individuals with assisted-living and memory care requirements. According to the developers, the property will be designed around a ‘main street and neighborhood’ concept.  The apartments will center around ‘main street,’ or a centralized amenity area that will feature a restaurant, convenience store, movie theater, spa, fitness center and sports bar.

Each wing within the facility will serve as a separate ‘neighborhood,’ equipped with common areas and corresponding theme unlike any of the others. PinPoint Commercial and Thrive Senior Living say the thinking behind the design is to offer residents areas or interests most suitable to their preferences. Legacy at Crystal Falls will also be equipped customizable wireless caregiver alert system, wireless RFID entrances and camera monitoring systems covering all areas outside the private apartments.

Dallas-based Cadence McShane has worked with the development JV before. Recently the company finished the 78-unit Legacy at Bear Creek in Keller, Texas, which is also an assisted living and memory care property. Currently the company is at work on Legacy at Falcon Point in Katy, Texas.

Cadence McShane will also provide the site work for the project, including landscaping, walkways and parking for visitors and staff. The architect for the project is Three Square Design Group.
