Peak Campus has been selected to manage The Avenue, a 652-bed student housing community in Fayetteville, Ark. Haven Campus Communities developed the property.
Upon completion in 2019, the student housing community will be located at 1211 W. James St., a 20-minute walk from the University of Arkansas. The property offers convenient access to transit options such as the Harp’s and Holly & Garland bus stops. Various dining, shopping and entertainment venues such as Wilson Park, Smoke & Barrel, Sideways, Eureka Pizza, Domino’s Pizza and Walmart Neighborhood Market are nearby.
The Avenue offers common-area amenities such as:
- grilling stations
- fire pits
- swimming pool
- 24-hour fitness center
- study rooms
- sun deck with cabanas
- cyber-lounge with charging stations
The pet-friendly community features a mix of two- and four-bedroom units ranging from 774 to 1,421 square feet. In-unit amenities include USB outlets, private bathrooms, full-size washer/dryer, wood-style flooring, electronic bedroom entry and fully equipped kitchens. Additionally, the property includes Amazon Hub package lockers, voice controlled smart thermostat lights, ceiling fan and door locks, smart TVs, electronic keypad and mobile app for unit and bedroom access.
In an interview with Multi-Housing News, Peak Campus’ president Jeff Gitchens discussed how students’ expectations in term of housing has changed and what he expects from the industry.
