Pantzer Properties Buys $88M MD Asset

The company has expanded its portfolio with Rolling Hills, a 468-unit property located in Germantown that includes a tot lot, a dog park and a soccer field.

Pantzer Properties–one of the top 10 multifamily buyers in the Mid-Atlantic– has purchased Rolling Hills, a 468-unit community in Germantown, Md., for $87.8 million. HFF represented the seller, Clark Enterprises, and procured the buyer in the transaction. The company also secured debt financing through Freddie Mac, on behalf of the buyer.

Situated at 19228 Circle Gate Drive, Rolling Hills is near Interstate 270, roughly 26 miles from downtown Washington, D.C. In addition to this, the community provides access to the MARC train station and Shady Grove Metro Station. Constructed in 1987, the 39-building property occupies around 40 acres and comprises a mix of two- and three-bedroom units, averaging 1,205 square feet. Communal area amenities include:

  • tot lots
  • dog parks
  • soccer fields
  • picnic and grilling area
