Olympus Property has expanded its presence in the Savannah, Ga., multifamily market with the acquisition of Capital Crest at Godley Station, a 203-unit apartment community.

Built in 2017, the luxury property offers one-, two- and three-bedroom units ranging from 730 to 1,797 square feet. The units include nine-foot ceilings, patios, wine racks, double vanities in the bathrooms and walk-in closets, as well as full-size washers and dryers. Residents have access to a 500-square-foot sports club, saltwater pool, pool deck, clubhouse, theater, outdoor lounge, outdoor kitchen and dog park. The community also offers attached and detached garage parking.

Located at 1565 Benton Blvd., Capital Crest at Godley Station is located near several of the area’s major employers, including Gulfstream, Georgia Pacific, and the Port of Savannah. The community is 20 minutes from a $6.4 billion electric vehicle and battery plant being developed by Hyundai. Travis Bertetto, associate director of acquisitions at Olympus Property, touted the metro’s strong fundamentals and growth prospects in prepared remarks.

Expanding across the U.S.

Based in Fort Worth, Texas, Olympus Property has owned or operated residential communities in Savannah for more than a decade. The company’s portfolio includes two other properties in Savannah, as well as a community in Pooler, Ga., and two communities in Brunswick, Ga. Olympus Property has more than 1,000 units under ownership in the Savannah market, according to Bertetto’s remarks.

The company has been expanding beyond Georgia, acquiring a 252-unit community in Fayetteville, N.C., in March. The deal represented Olympus Property’s third acquisition in the metro. A week earlier, the company entered California’s West Hollywood market with the purchase of the 179-unit Angelene Apartments. In total, the firm owns or manages approximately 31,000 units across 14 states.
