Oi’s new cellular furniture system is a unique line of seating and surface components, which fit onto a 30-in. x 30-in. base to create a cell. The cells can be combined to create hundreds of configurations. The cells are easily and quickly reconfigurable to create infinitely expandable configurations or ‘cellscapes’ limited only by the imagination.
Oi is ideal for multifamily because it has been designed for compact urban living. It is completely scalable by any number of cells and the flexibility in the configurations makes it customizable to almost any space. The Maharam Messenger upholstery is LEED certified and all of the materials have environmental benefits from the soy-based foam to the recyclable cores and base.
By using cut foam we are able to customize foam density to the application. The seat and back can be customized independently between high- and low-density foam. The lower density foam is quite soft, and the higher density is a little firmer. The low-density foam selection is for applications you want to be able to relax and visit for long periods of time, while the higher density foam is more suited to commercial applications.
The Oi seating system is comprised of seat, arm, and seat and back seating components, and a grid base that can expand and minimize to accommodate almost any space. The seating components slip firmly onto the base and create flat surfaces, extensions, backrests and armrests.
Oi is manufactured in Canada and two cells can ship compactly in a 30-in. box for the most efficient shipping possible.
