Oakwood Opens 3rd LA Corporate Housing Property
The 201-unit community is the ninth U.S. corporate housing asset owned by Singapore-based Mapletree Investments, the firm’s parent company.
Oakwood Worldwide opens Oakwood Olympic & Olive in downtown Los Angeles, its latest addition to a portfolio of more than 50 properties worldwide. The 201-unit community was designed by KTGY Architects and includes 4,126 square feet of retail. This is the firm’s third property in Los Angeles and the ninth U.S. corporate housing asset owned by Singapore-based Mapletree Investments, who acquired Oakwood in February 2017.
The furnished and unfurnished studios, one- and two-bedroom accommodations feature designer finishes, including quartz countertops, glass-tile backsplashes, stainless steel appliances, gas ranges, 10-foot ceilings, and in-unit washers and dryers. Amenities of the boutique-style property include a sky lounge on the seventh floor, swimming pool, pet park, fitness center, outdoor community-enhancing areas, multiple co-working spaces and underground parking with EV charging stations.
Located at 1001 S. Olive St., the seven-story community is only a six-minute walk from the Pico Metro stop and offers easy access to interstates 10 and 110. The property is also close to L.A. Live, the Financial District and the Fashion District.
In 2016, Oakwood Worldwide expanded its global presence to four new countries—Australia, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam.
