Northeast Precast—a Millville, N.J.-based precast concrete manufacturer that offers both commercial and residential products—has launched Prespan, a patented new flooring system which features insulated precast floor planks.

The Prespan system abolishes the need for interior structural supports. Approximately 25 percent lighter than hollow core planks, the product allows developers to gain a clear span of the entire building to create a full basement or crawl space walls under the garage, while also featuring less deflection.

“Prespan allows for extra space to be constructed under the garage in the building stage of a project,” said Mark Gorgas, commercial division general manager at Northeast Precast, in prepared remarks. “This added space can be very valuable for anyone looking for extra storage space in the home or commercial building.”

What’s more, the new floor plank system installs well with all concrete wall types. There are no manufacturing job size limitations, because the company’s manufacturing processes allow for projects of all sizes.
