Burlington, Mass.—Good news for seniors of Burlington, Mass.: The Northbridge Companies, an assisted living communities developer, recently announced the groundbreaking of Stonebridge at Burlington, a 110-unit assisted living and memory care community.
The apartment consists of studio, one- and two-bedroom units. Each unit will be styled with transitional modern/eclectic interior design, hardwood floors and granite countertops.
What makes the community different is that Stonebridge combines living space with “extras” for their seniors not normally seen at assisted living facilities, including a full-service spa, outdoor tai chi space, fitness center, and a solarium for indoor potting and planting.
Additionally, there will be social programing for the residents, including Northbridge’s Eat Fresh/Eat Local program, S.T.A.R. (Sharp Thinking Active Residents), a memory strengthening programing called The Brain Gym and Senior Green.
“We are a private, local company focused on being part of the communities we serve,” Wendy Nowokunski, president, Northbridge Companies, tells MHN. “With our home office in Burlington, we are thrilled to be able to bring Stonebridge to serve seniors and their families in this area.”
Stonebridge is financed by Cambridge Savings Band and Fidelity RE Opportunistic Income Fund LP. It is scheduled to open in fall of 2012 and will be accepting reservations in March 2012.
