Pueblo, Colo.—The Oakshire Trails Apartments senior housing community in Pueblo, Colo., has recently celebrated its grand opening, with all 62 one- and two-bedroom units already occupied. The project is the result of a collaboration between the Colorado Housing Finance Authority and Four Corners Development.
Oakshire Trails features a large common space by the entrance with plenty of lounge seating, a large flat screen TV, fireplace and an internet café. The community also incorporates a grand dining/activity room with a community kitchen and access to the patio, putting green and walking trails.
Other amenities at the site include a library and a conference table for meetings and games. There is also a fully furnished workout room with treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, free weights and jump ropes. The theatre across the workout room provides a large screen TV and a popcorn machine for movie night.
“CHFA is very proud to partner with Four Corners Development on the creation of this affordable new complex for Seniors,” according to the Colorado Housing Finance Authority (CHFA).
Four Corners Development has another senior housing project in the works in Greely, Colo., which is anticipated to begin construction in early 2017. Oakshire Trails is the company’s first project in Colorado.
