New Condo Project Breaks Ground in South Austin
The upcoming development aims to accommodate the “missing middle” segment in Austin, with the price of the units ranging between $200,000 and $400,000.
Impact Developers have broken ground on MESA, a new three-story condo development at 4004 Banister Lane in South Austin. The name of the project was inspired by the region’s elevated land, with flat-tops and steep cliff sides.
The 45-unit property was designed by local architecture firm Mark Odom Studio, the creators behind the Clawson Residences, eight contemporary tree houses located off South Lamar at 3202 Clawson Road. MESA aims to accommodate the “missing middle” segment in Austin, the selling price for the units ranging between $200,000 and $400,000. According to the company’s statement, 25 units have already been sold.
Exterior amenities at the community include a pool area, paths with native grasses, fire pit lounges, yard sculptures, a dog park and play pyramid. Interiors feature expansive terraces and high-end finishes such as local handmade tiling.
“The design plan for MESA revolves around community and outdoor living created by interior and exterior moments of interest with areas of social interaction,” Alfredo Tiznado, project manager at Mark Odom Studio, said in prepared remarks. “The building’s shape and gradient siding composition drew inspiration from the beautiful blended green landscape surrounding the site and color references found throughout the Mesa region.”
Also involved in the project are CPH Structural Engineering, ARCHE LLC (mechanical, electrical and plumbing), Kevin Sloan Studio (landscape), Brandon Miller Group (marketing & sales).
