In this position, Russell is responsible for sourcing and structuring multifamily and commercial transactions. He reports to John Caulfield, executive vice president, director of operations. Prior to joining Arbor, Russell was managing director at Wachovia Securities, where his responsibilities included developing client relationships, originating loans, underwriting, structuring and closing transactions. He previously served in a similar capacity as managing director at Credit Suisse. Russell has also held positions at Nomura Asset Capital Corporation, Rosenman & Colin, LLP and LTCB Trust Company.Jerde Partnership Promotes Todd Pilgreen as China DirectorShanghai, CHINA–The Jerde Partnership has named Todd Pilgreen, a partner who has been with the firm since 1998, as China director. In this new role, Pilgreen will oversee Jerde’s efforts in mainland China based out of the firm’s Shanghai office. His responsibilities will include managing the design process for Jerde’s design work in China, overseeing the firm’s business throughout the country, liaising between Jerde’s design teams in Los Angeles and its China client and project teams, identifying strategic partners, and ensuring design integrity through a project’s construction.Prior to taking on this new position, Pilgreen worked extensively throughout Asia. His work in China includes design concepts of Qingdao Beer City in Qingdao and City of Dreams in Macao, as well as master plan of a mixed-use project in Shenyang. “I am honored to be leading the Shanghai office and to oversee day-to-day management of a market as important as mainland China,” says Pilgreen. “The sheer number of people in China, combined with the increasing sophistication of Chinese development, provide a solid platform from which the firm can continue to redefine experience and evolve our singular placemaking design philosophy.”Dung Lam Becomes CFO of J.I. KislakMiami Lakes, Fla.–J.I. Kislak Inc. has named Dung Lam as chief financial officer. As CFO, Lam will be responsible for overseeing finance and accounting, investor relations, information technology, human resources and marketing.Prior to joining J.I. Kislak Inc., Lam was vice president/CFO for RPC Diversified Holdings Inc., and served as assistant CFO for Boca Developers. Additionally, Lam worked in strategic planning for the Washington Redskins, developed and grew the Homeland Security Division at Northrop Grumman, and held financial management positions at Fortune 100 companies such as Walt Disney Corp. and Lockheed Martin.
