Sweeney will be responsible for continuing the management and expansion of Barrett & Stokely’s multifamily contract management portfolio. He joined Barrett & Stokely in 1976 and currently serves as a director of the Indiana Apartment Association and as an advisory board member of the Ball State University residential property management degree program.Barrett & Stokely manages apartment communities in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina.Edward Petti Appointed Director in Arbor’s New York Office New York–Arbor Commercial Mortgage has appointed Edward Petti to director in Arbor’s New York office. Petti is responsible for originating all of the company’s multifamily and commercial product lines including Fannie Mae, FHA, bridge, mezzanine and preferred equity throughout the northeast United States. He reports to Ken Fazio, vice president, national sales manager.Prior to joining Arbor, Petti served as director of real estate finance and securitization at Credit Suisse. Two Join Grubb & Ellis’ Multi Housing Investment Group Chicago–Grubb & Ellis Co. has hired Brian Pohl and Symeon Stavrakas for the company’s Multi Housing Investment Group as senior vice president and senior associate, respectively.Most recently, Pohl, 39, was a director of Apartment Brokerage Services in Cushman & Wakefield’s Capital Markets Group, a position he held since 2005. Stavrakas, 32, joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2006 as an analyst.While at Cushman & Wakefield, Pohl specialized in traditional, structured investment sales and asset recapitalization of multifamily, mixed-use and land development assignments. Prior to Cushman & Wakefield, Pohl spent three years with Cohen Financial, where he represented clients in acquisition, disposition and advisory services.
