Wilkerson was appointed by Governor Purdue to serve as the public service representative on the Georgia Real Estate Commission where he served until his appointment as Region IV director of the Department of Housing and Urban Development. As regional director, Wilkerson represented HUD’s interest to federal, state and local elected officials.Hathaway’s Governmental Housing division is dedicated to meeting the country’s critical housing needs in this time of economic stress. As director Wilkerson will work with local, state and federal agencies to meet their need to provide safe, decent and affordable housing.Guardian Management Adds New Controller Portland, Ore.–Guardian Management LLC has hired Teresa Stempel as controller to manage and coordinate all of Guardian’s financial and accounting functions.  Prior to joining Guardian, Stempel served as a senior tax manager at Moss Adams LLC, following a decade of service as controller and then CFO for OSF International, Inc. Affordable Housing Advocate to Receive HOC Annual Honor Roll AwardKensington, Md.–Affordable housing advocate and attorney Kenneth B. Tecler will receive the Housing Opportunities Commission’s (HOC) annual Housing Honor Roll award. Tecler, who has served as HOC’s attorney since 1979, is retiring and will no longer serve as HOC’s legal counsel. He is currently a member of the law firm Chen, Walsh, Tecler & McCabe L.L.P.Since 1979, Tecler has advised HOC on a wide range of topics, including property and land acquisition, real estate law and housing finance matters.
