In this role, Woodward will initially be focusing on the purchase, entitlement and development of land in the cities of Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego, including infill properties.“We believe in working with property owners to create value with well-designed residential projects that will be highly desired by homebuilders as we move into a positive market environment,” Woodward says.Prior to joining Enterprise Land Fund, Woodward served as president and founder of TDAC Development Inc., which controlled properties with the purpose of gaining entitlements. Previously, he was division president at Lennar Homes/Greystone Homes. Woodward serves on the board of directors for HomeAid Orange County and is an honorary board member for Taller San Jose/TallerTech, an apprentice program for young adults that focuses on the fundamentals of residential construction.Joan Carro Joins BRE Properties as Vice President of Property OperationsSan Francisco—BRE Properties Inc. has appointed Joan Carro as vice president of property operations for its Northern Division. In this role, Carro will be responsible for the operation of 28 communities, or 8,401 units, in the San Francisco Bay area, Sacramento and Seattle, in addition to three communities currently under construction.Previously, Carro served as vice president at Riverstone Residential Group, where she was responsible for the company’s entire Oregon portfolio, comprised of more than 4,800 units. She also oversaw the strategic marketing and leasing plans for 3,900 new units.Carro served as the 2007 board president of the National Apartment Association’s affiliate in Oregon, in addition to being spokesperson for PG&E and the Energy Trust of Oregon, where she educated property owners, managers and investors about energy efficiency within the multifamily industry.Starwood Land Ventures Names Jon Rapaport President of Southeast Florida DivisionNorth Palm Beach, Fla.—Jon Rapaport has jointed Starwood Land Ventures LLC as president of he firm’s Southeast Florida division.A licensed Florida real estate professional, Rapaport owned and operated several residential development and homebuilding companies prior to joining Starwood Land Ventures.
