(CPC) recently named Ronald Schiferl (pictured) as Chief Financial Officer.In his new role, Schiferl will be responsible for providing overall finance management for the corporation and its for-profit development arm, CPC Resources Inc. (CPCR), encompassing all accounting and treasury functions. Schiferl has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before joining the CPC, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Naterra Land, Inc., a position he held for two years. Prior to joining Naterra Land, he worked at Opus Corp. for eight years as a senior vice president and CFO, where he was responsible for overseeing all architecture and engineering services, accounting, internal audit, finance, information technology and human resources. “During challenging economic times, having an exceptional CFO is of the utmost importance,” says Michael Lappin, president and CEO of CPC and CPC Resources. Western National Property Management Gets New PresidentIrvine, Calif.–Thomas K. Shelton, CAPS, CPM, has been named president of Western National Property Management, the multifamily management arm of Western National Group. In this position, Shelton will lead a team of real estate professionals supervising a portfolio of assets owned by Western National Group, as well as a portfolio of assets owned by third-party clients.“In addition to the critical focus that will be placed on the assets owned by the firm and its partners, I also intend to implement a strategy that will allow us to expand our third-party portfolio through the utilization of the entire platform of services provided by Western National Group,” says Shelton. Prior to joining Western National Property Management, Shelton served as regional partner of Greystar Real Estate Partners, where he supervised a portfolio of 26,000 units throughout western U.S. Shelton also previously served as regional vice president of Insignia Residential Group, He was senior vice president of Koll Management Services and senior vice president of Phoenix-based CBS Investment Realty.Wood Partners Names New Chief Financial OfficerJoseph J. Keough has been named Chief Financial Officer for Wood Partners. In this capacity, Keough will be responsible for the company’s finance, reporting and accounting operations.Keough has extensive experience in the real estate and investment management industries, having most recently served as chief operating officer for Fuqua Capital, the family office for the Fuqua family. “Keough brings real estate and finance background coupled with strategic thinking that will serve us well as we continue on our growth path,” says Jerry Durkin, CEO.
