Mexico City, MEXICO–CB Richard Ellis has appointed Lyman Daniels (pictured first from top) to the position of president of CBRE Mexico. A commercial real estate executive in Mexico, Daniels will be instrumental in leading the growth of CBRE’s business in Mexico across all lines of business.
Since 2006, Daniels has served as the executive director and vice president for Hines in Mexico and Central America, overseeing more than $800 million of investment in the region and providing property and asset management direction for more than 50 properties. Daniels has been instrumental in shaping the commercial real estate market in Mexico and Central America over the past 15 years. He co-founded Hines-Mexico in 1994 where he led the firm’s first international acquisition and directed the development and management of more than 2MM square meters (21,527,820 sq. ft.) of office, industrial, residential and retail real estate projects.He is also an executive committee member for the Urban Land Institute in Mexico and a certified property manager through the Institute of Real Estate Management. Western National Property Management Hires Michael C. Brown as Regional VP of Property ManagementIrvine, Calif.–Western National Property Management has brought back industry executive Michael C. Brown (pictured second from top) as regional vice president of property management. Brown will be responsible for overseeing and managing 33 properties representing 4,734 units throughout Southern California. Within the portfolio, Brown will oversee the operation, management and lease-up of five communities totaling 1,287 units. Brown comes to Western National Property Management from Stellar Management, where he began in 2006 as the company’s first West Coast employee, serving as senior vice president of West Coast Operations. Prior to Stellar Management, Brown was with Western National Property Management, served as senior vice president of the KOR Group, and ran The Porta Management Company’s largest multifamily operations out of Southern California as regional vice president. Brown is a certified property manager, an accredited residential manager and a California licensed real estate salesperson. He served as a director on the Board of Directors for the Apartment Association of California Southern Cities, as well as chairman of its Management Services Council. He also served the industry as an instructor for beginning and advanced property management. Additionally, he served a s chairman of the GEMM Committee of the South Coast Apartment Association and was a member of the California Apartment Associations Executive Council.Gary Kahn Joins CORENew York—CORE has hired Gary Kahn (pictured third from top), who will be focusing on residential re-sales and new developments throughout Manhattan.
