In this new role, Slack is responsible for development and acquisition activities in the northern California Region, which includes the markets of Portland, Ore., Seattle and Las Vegas. Her primary duties are to source and negotiate the purchase of multifamily sites, manage the development and construction process, and acquire existing communities for rehabilitation. Most recently, she served as Alliance’s national new business director. She joined the company in 2003 as vice president of operations for the northwest region and also served as director of west coast acquisitions. “This new position will allow me to oversee development and acquisitions for Alliance’s interests not only in northern California but all of the Pacific Northwest and Las Vegas,” says Slack. “Despite turns in the economy, Alliance is still building in key markets and looking for acquisition opportunities in new ones as well.”Arent Fox Hires Four Former Nixon Peabody Employees Washington, D.C.–Arent Fox LLP has recently hired Edward Rogers and Debra D. Before joining HFF, Kelly worked as an investment sales broker at Marcus & Millichap where he built relationships with national student housing developers and owners.
