Guardian Management Appoints Vice President of Property ManagementPortland, Ore.–Guardian Management LLC, a Portland, Ore.-based real estate investment and management firm specializing in multifamily housing investment opportunities and property management services, has promoted Jim Wiard (pictured) to vice president of property management following 17 years of service for Guardian. As vice president of property management, Wiard’s role will consist of directing and supervising all company property management operations. “Jim has provided 17 years of responsible asset and property management experience to Guardian,” says Tom Brenneke, president of Guardian Management. “In his new role as vice president, he will help Guardian continue its growth.” Wiard is a certified property manager and past president of Metro Multifamily Housing Association. Additionally, he is the company’s principal broker for Oregon and Washington.Jim Taylor Named President of Military Housing GroupAtlanta–Balfour Beatty Construction has named Jim Taylor as president of its Military Housing Group in the Southeast division.Taylor (pictured), a charter member of the company’s Southeast division, started the company’s Atlanta office in April 2001. Taylor and his team began the initial operation working out of two hotel rooms, which served as their office for four months. Soon after, they entered the military housing market and have since, turned it into a significant part of Balfour Beatty’s U.S. business at both the division and company-wide levels, according to CEO Bob Hambright.“Though the division is barely seven years old, it has realized tremendous success thanks in large part to the high performance standards demonstrated by Taylor in the area of our military housing business unit,” says Hambright.Jeff Goldshine Joins Mission Residential as PresidentOakton, Va.–Jeffrey A. Goldshine has joined Mission Residential Management, a unit of Mission Residential LLC, the multifamily real estate investment firm, as its president. In this newly created position, Goldshine (pictured) will oversee all property management operations.Before joining Mission Residential, Goldshine was CEO of Rockville, Md.-based Stellar Realty Management. He previously served as senior vice president and director of management operations at CAPREIT Inc. “Jeff joins us with not only tremendous managerial skills, but with well-earned credentials from having overseen all facets of the multifamily landscape,” says Christopher Finlay, Mission Residential co-founder. “He was a vital missing piece in the fabric we are creating.”
