Kalmikov, CCIM, Dean P. Washle and Chris Riggs. Riggs, Kalmikov & Washle (pictured l-r) join the firm with a combined transaction total of more than $2 billion and 45 years of real estate experience to help place Lee & Associates on track to becoming one of the strongest multi-housing brokerage firms in the Inland Empire.“Our decision to join Lee was mainly based upon the fact that the firm is seen as the leader in technology and marketing capabilities,” says Kalmikov. “Lee has a structure in place to capture the most experienced and senior brokers and we are excited about the opportunity to join the firm with the number one market share in the Inland Empire.”Kalmikov, who will be acting as senior vice president of Lee & Associates-Riverside’s investment services, comes from Grubb & Ellis. With 16 years of real estate experience, Washle joins Lee as vice president of the multi-housing investment services group. Prior to joining Lee’s Riverside office, Washle also worked at Grubb & Ellis. Riggs joins Lee as an associate from Grubb & Ellis with three years of experience in the Inland Empire multifamily market.According to Kalmikov and Indvik, the primary goal of the Inland Southern California Apartment Group is to offer an expanded set of expertise such as multifamily, housing investment and development opportunities to Lee’s current and future clients.ARA Adds Mike Murray, Jon Roberts to Denver OperationsDenver, Colo.–Atlanta-headquartered Apartment Realty Advisors (ARA) has added associate brokers, Mike Murray and Jon Roberts, to the roster of ARA’s Denver operations.Both Murray (pictured) and Roberts will work directly with long-term ARA principals, Doug Andrews and Jeff Hawks, specializing in the institutional apartment market. “Adding Mike and Jon to our team allows us the opportunity to continue to heighten the level of service delivery we provide to our clients,” says Andrews.Murray most recently worked as a senior associate with Moran and Co., where his primary responsibilities included underwriting, valuation and marketing due diligence for institutional multifamily product in the mountain states region. Roberts joined ARA after working as a broker with Mackstaller & Co. where he represented investor clients in the procurement of income, development and condo conversion properties. Beth H. Kinsley Joins Northland Investment as VP, Assistant General CounselNewton, Mass.–Northland Investment Corp. has hired Beth H. Kinsley (pictured) as vice president and assistant general counsel. Kinsley will have responsibility for all legal aspects of the firm’s real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financings and developments. Previously, Kinsley held the position of senior counsel in the Real Estate Department of Goodwin Procter LLP. At Goodwin, Kinsley represented a variety of real estate operators in connection with acquisitions and dispositions. She also represented institutional lenders, investors and borrowers in connection with construction, permanent and mezzanine loan and equity joint venture transactions.
