(AMC), where she will oversee the management for all the south division communities in Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.Cabell formerly served as SVP with Trammell Crow Residential in Houston where she oversaw 54 communities, and as SVP of REIT operations with Gables Property Trust, where she was responsible for 35,000 units in Texas, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida.Cabell has been active in regional apartment associations and the NMHC.Sperry Van Ness Appoints Caplan as Director of Investment and Development ServicesChicago–Wayne Caplan has joined Sperry Van Ness as director of investment and development services in the firm’s Chicago office. Caplan joins Sperry Van Ness after having worked with firms such as Sheldon Good & Co. and Inland Real Estate Sales. Caplan will focus on investment and development property sales as well as retail leasing in Chicago.“Wayne is a great addition to our team,” says Scott R. Hevey Jr. to Lead Cohen’s Newest Office Dallas–Cohen Financial has appointed Joseph N. Hevey Jr. as managing director to lead Cohen Financial’s newest office in Dallas. In his new role, Hevey is charged with building a team of professionals responsible for introducing Cohen Financial’s commercial real estate financing, investment banking and capital markets services in Dallas and across Texas. Hevey and his team will work in affiliation with the Colliers International Dallas-Fort Worth office to provide commercial real estate investors the full array of services from both firms. “Hevey has nurtured long-term relationships working with borrowers and capital providers in Texas and throughout the country and has a background in all product types,” says Adrian Corbiere, executive vice president of Cohen Financial. In his past jobs, Hevey has been responsible for more than $1.5 billion in commercial real estate acquisitions and financings.
