Monument Real Estate Services has launched its student housing division with the acquisition of the company’s first student housing management assignment of The Vault at Statesboro, a 132-unit student housing community located in Statesboro, Ga. Formerly known as Campus Evolution Villages, the 528-bed property was purchased by FM Capital back in July, as part of the company’s ongoing initiative to actively purchase student housing properties in strong markets.

Located at 1699 Statesboro Place Circle, The Vault serves students attending Georgia Southern University and is in close proximity to various restaurants and shopping and entertainment venues such as Allen E. Paulson Stadium, Mellow Mushroom, Walmart Neighborhood Market, Botanic Garden at Georgia Southern and East Georgia Regional Medical Center.

The pet-friendly community offers four-bedroom units of 1,444 square feet each. The 11 three-story buildings feature amenities such as:

  • swimming pool
  • fitness facility
  • clubhouse
  • air conditioning system
  • business center
  • volleyball court
  • basketball court
  • tennis court
  • 504 parking spaces

Renovation plan

As part of the company’s management strategy, a number of interior and exterior upgrades will be implemented, including new appliances and furniture, as well as a private study area and fitness center, a pool deck with fire pit, built-in grills, cabanas and hammocks.

“This new management assignment will enhance Monument’s scope of services with a dynamic property in a strategic location,” Lisa Davis, regional manager for MRES, said in a statement. “We look forward to expanding the student housing division with additional communities within the next year.”
