Chicago—M&R Development and RMK Management Corp. announced they have broken ground on 73 East Lake, a new luxury community in Chicago.
When completed, 73 East Lake, which was previously called Summit on Lake, will be a 42-story building with 332 units. There will be studios, convertibles, and one- and two-bedroom floor plans. The apartments will include granite countertops with stainless steel Energy Star appliances, designer baths, computer niches and in-unit washers and dryers.
The building will feature a variety of amenities. The ninth and 10th floors will offer residents an indoor pool, oversized spa with a waterfall, sauna and steam rooms, fitness center, yoga/Pilates studio, business center and conference room, cyber café, event room, theater and a game room.
The 42nd floor of 73 East Lake will also feature high-end amenities, such as a 2,000 square foot event room, a sundeck with views of Lake Michigan and Millennium Park, a green roof, barbecue and cabanas.
Additionally, the community will have 178 indoor parking spaces for residents.
“Demand for luxury rentals in downtown Chicago just keeps growing, and 73 East Lake will certainly stand out to high-end renters who want that perfect combination of location, amenities and finishes,” Anthony Rossi, Sr., president of M&R Development and RMK Management Corp., tells MHN. “With its two full amenity floors and rooftop sundeck, outstanding Loop address and beautifully finished residences, the building offers the complete package for luxury urban living.”
Construction is expected to be completed by April 2014.
