Mission Success: Preserving a Strong Company Culture in the Age of Hybrid Work

Company culture is the North Star of any business, Christine Ramsey of Draper and Kramer observed in this podcast with MHN's Laura Calugar. But is remote work undermining it?

More than 70 percent of CEOs consider culture a key element for driving a company’s financial performance, according to recent data from Heidrick and Struggles. This is just one of the thousands of studies on the correlation between a strong company culture and the financial performance of an organization.

“A good culture can steer the ship out of storms such as a global health crisis, unstable financial markets or civil unrest,” Christine Ramsey, chief administrative officer with Draper and Kramer Inc., told Multi-Housing News Senior Editor Laura Calugar in the August edition of the Mission Success: Women in Multifamily podcast series.

Ramsey is responsible for human resources, communications, stockholder relations, risk management and office services, having played a key role in defining and shaping the company’s work culture for the past 8 years. She believes that a well-defined culture can be observed in action, with communication a huge part of it.

In this podcast interview, she highlights best practices for building and maintaining a strong company culture when remote/hybrid work seems to be challenging the status quo among organizations. Here are the main topics Ramsey and Calugar touch on:

  • Why is company culture so important? (1:07)
