Leasing has kicked off at the nearly complete Meriel Marina Bay, a new apartment development in suburban Quincy, south of Boston. The property includes two five-story buildings featuring 352 apartments with garage parking, and about 20,000 square feet of ground-level retail space.
The community, which offer studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom units, is being developed by Hines and will be managed by The Bozzuto Group. Move-ins are slated for May 1.
Common amenities include two fitness centers with separate cardio and yoga studios, a sundeck, and a heated swimming pool. Meriel Marina Bay also sports three courtyards overlooking the marina that include areas equipped with an outdoor kitchen, barbecue grills, wet bar and fire pits.
Other amenities include two club rooms with a flat screen TV with catering kitchens and lounge seating, cyber café with Wi-Fi, two conference rooms, a separate games and entertainment lounge, and storage areas for bikes and kayaks. The Bark ‘n’ Bubbles pet spa and grooming station serves resident pets.
The property, though not as transit-oriented as some other developments in Quincy, offers residents a complimentary shuttle to the Red Line North Quincy MBTA station and a water ferry to downtown Boston. It offers views of the Boston skyline, Marina Bay, and Dorchester Bay, with units ranging from about $2,100 to $4,600 per month.
