Meridian Senior Living Acquires 2 RI Communities

Totaling 272 beds, Chapel Hill and Smithfield Woods include assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing services. The company will also manage the assets.

Meridian Senior Living has purchased two senior communities in northern Rhode Island. Chapel Hill in Cumberland and Smithfield Woods in Smithfield include a total of 272 beds.

Located at 10 Old Diamond Hill Road, Chapel Hill is directly across from Interstate 295. The property includes 108 assisted living beds, 30 skilled nursing beds as well as a new heated indoor pool and Jacuzzi spa. The other property is within a 15-minute drive. Situated at 171 Pleasant View Avenue, Smithfield Woods encompasses 41 assisted living beds, 33 memory care beds and 60 skilled nursing beds. Amenities at both communities include:

  • activity rooms
  • salon
  • restaurant-style dining room
  • wellness programs

In a partnership with investor GMF Capital, Meridian Senior Living will manage the two properties. The company is also in charge of managing nine communities in Florida, which have been owned by Griffin-American Healthcare REIT IV Inc. since the end of 2017.
