Chamblee, Ga.—Work is underway on the 79-unit Mercy Housing at Mercy Park, an affordable development at 5135 Peachtree Rd. in Chamblee, Ga., which Mercy Housing developed. The property, on 1.6 acres, is in close proximity to Mercy Care North medical clinic.
Upon completion in January 2018, the facility will provide affordable housing and programming for seniors. The property will feature 57 one-bedroom and 22 two-bedroom units and nearly 4,000 square feet of amenity space.
Common amenities will include resident services areas, a fitness center, computer center, gathering rooms and several outdoor seating areas, including a rooftop terrace. The property is also about a block from the Chamblee MARTA Station.
The residence is being constructed to achieve LEED for Homes Certification by incorporating a number of environmentally friendly features, according to McShane Construction Co., which is building the structure. The exterior will boast a design utilizing masonry, fiber cement siding and modern window lines.
