By Erika Schnitzer, Associate EditorMiami–Chicago-based MCZ Development Corp. is beginning to market its properties towards European buyers. The location of the properties and the strength of the Euro are the two reasons Michael Lerner, president of MCZ Development, cite for the company’s marketing strategy. “MCZ is focusing on its International Broker Network,” he says. “MCZ has developed a huge base of real estate agents and brokers.””Many of these international clients are cash buyers, which makes it easy for them to purchase,” Lerner tells MHN. “Europeans love to vacation in Florida, and we are fortunate to have properties in all of the key spots in south, central and western Florida.”In Miami, MCZ has 44 remaining units at Flamingo South Beach, a 562-unit, three-building luxury condominium development. Located on 16.5 acres of land, it offers two resort-style pools, a 15,000-sq.-ft. fitness center, spa, doggy day care and an on-site dry cleaners. Pricing for the property begins in the low $300,000s.”Miami is a hotspot for so many international vacationers,” says Lerner. “We are seeing a huge influx of buyers from France and Italy and still a lot of interest from South Americans.”In Aventura, the 351-unit Parc Central East (pictured) is a luxury condominium with prices starting in the low $200,000s. Located in the heart of the shopping district of Aventura, it is close to the beach and next to the newly renovated Turnberry Golf Course. It is currently 70 percent sold.MCZ is marketing two properties in Orlando, Mirabella Residences and The Palms Club, a garden-style condominium, both of which start at $130,000. The Palms Club includes a bowling alley, three pools, volleyball court, fitness center, tennis court and billiard room. Lerner notes, “It is unique in that a whole family can be entertained without leaving the property.”In Sarasota, the Serentata, a 240-unit garden-style community offers one-, two- and three-bedroom residences. Pricing begins in the $180,000s. The property tends to attract many buyers from Canada, Germany and the UK, says Lerner. “Most of them are older and come to have a quiet vacation in the beautiful beaches around Sarasota.”
