Chicago—McShane Construction Co. has completed Apex 41, a luxury apartment development, located at 2760 S. Highland Ave. in Lombard, Ill.

The 181-unit Apex 41 was constructed in a podium design with a five-story metal-framed residential component atop a two-story, 242-vehicle parking deck. The community offers studios and one- and two-bedroom floorplans with interior features such as granite and quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, in-unit washer/dryers, wood-inspired flooring and balconies. Residents have access to amenities such as a 3,000-square-foot clubhouse with Wi-Fi, TV lounge with full kitchen, business center, fitness center, yoga studio and swimming pool located directly outside. There is also 16,000-square-feet of additional outdoor space which includes a park-like plaza, gourmet grill stations, fire pits, a putting green and communal seating areas.

The property is situated across the street from the Yorktown Shopping Center mall. The location offers direct access to numerous shops, restaurants and businesses together with convenience to I-88 and downtown Chicago. The building was developed by GlenStar Properties, Stephen Rankin Associates provided the architectural services and Greystar is serving as the exclusive management and leasing team.

“On behalf of our respected client, GlenStar Properties, we are pleased to deliver this exceptional residential property to the community of Lombard. The success of this project was strengthened by our commitment to quality, schedule, budget and safety together with our seasoned experience in podium multifamily construction,” Jeffrey Raday, president of McShane Construction Co., told Multi-Housing News. “The Apex 41 complex mirrors the high standards of our client and its goal to provide best-in-class residences in close proximity to nearby amenities and the conveniences of this growing suburb.”
