Mazis Family Trust has bought a 19-unit apartment community in San Diego’s University Heights neighborhood for $5.3 million from Kathryn Hattox Trust. Kidder Mathews Senior Vice President Eric Comer, Executive Vice President Jim Neil and Senior Vice President Merrick Matricardi represented the buyer, while Scott & Quinn Real Estate Owner Broker Jim Scott represented the seller. Altas Management Group will be managing the property.
Located at 4560 Florida St., the 1970-built property features a mix of 13 two-bedroom and six one-bedroom units. The San Diego County Assessor’s office most recently evaluated the asset at roughly $4.7 million.
The property offers easy access to Madison Avenue, Park Boulevard, Mission Avenue, Adams Avenue and Texas Street. Residents have access to a variety of retail opportunities, including Plumeria Vegetarian, Bahn Thai, Park & Rec, Red House Pizza, Twiggs, Parkhouse Eatery, Lestat’s on Park and Pop Pie Co.
