Lynd Closes $59M Financing for San Antonio Mixed-Income Asset

The community is located in one of the area's fastest-growing enclaves.

The Lynd Group has closed on a $58.8 million bridge loan from Ladder Capital to refinance Potranco Commons, a 360-unit, three-story multifamily community Located at 202 W. Loop 1604 S. on the far west side of San Antonio. The financing was arranged by Kevin O’Grady and Daniel Eidson of Concord Summit Capital.

This is the second new development refinanced by The Lynd Group in the past several weeks. Last month, the owner closed on a $133 million refinancing loan for The Villas at Tuttle Royale, a 401-unit property located in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Group CEO David Lynd told Multi-Housing News. “The Ladder team was excellent, real pros. We closed in (a) fast time period.”

Potranco Commons was completed in the first quarter of 2025. It offers one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments ranging in size from 541 to 1,355 square feet. 144 of the property’s units are designated as affordable.

Features and finishes of residences include in-unit washers and dryers, above-standard ceiling heights, digital locks, detached garages and energy-efficient LED lighting. Community amenities include a bark park, resident hideaway, rentable storage units, controlled building access, sand volleyball court, yoga studio, coffee bar, clubroom and package lockers.

Location advantage

The location of Potranco Commons in one of San Antonio’s fastest-growing enclaves places residents near popular eateries, shopping centers and nightlife destinations. Three retail locations including The Parke, Potranco Village Shopping Center, and Madison’s Market are within 7- to 11-minute walks of the property. Four institutions of higher learning, including Northwest Vista College, St. Mary’s University, Galen Nursing San Antonio and UT Health San Antonio are all within a 19-minute drive.

Parks and recreation areas also abound near Potranco Commons. They are Heritage Duck Pond Park, Sea World San Antonio, Slick Park, Cathedral Rock Nature Park and Medina Base Road Park.

Elsewhere in San Antonio, Koontz Corp. last month announced plans for the Elle Apartment Homes, a new 305-unit multifamily community to be situated in the north central area of the city.
