Developers Meridian Realty Advisors and Premier Development Group, along with architectural and interior design firm Wilson Associates unveiled plans for The Meridian, a 15-story luxury condominium development in Perdido Key, Fla., that is set to begin construction later this year. The building will sit along 300 feet of private beach access and is designed with white stucco and glass, crowed with a roof inspired by the unique shapes of homes in Bermuda. Scheduled to open in late summer of 2019, 40 percent of the residences have already been sold, with prices starting at $1.1 million.

Resort Living

Each of the 41 units will include interior features such as 12-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, master bathrooms with bathtub, shower combos that feature views of the Gulf, glass balconies, sliding glass doors and outdoor terraces with summer kitchens. Each apartment has its own elevator access and 270 degree views with exterior wrap-around glass. Ranging from 2,941 to 3,815 square feet, the building offers floorplans of end and center units comprising four bedrooms, as well as two, 5,000-square-foot penthouse apartments that are completed customizable to the resident. Residents will have access to amenities such as a pool with cabanas, a poolside bar and rooms with televisions, in which residents can camp out as a private home from the sun; beach views and access; a fitness center; amenity-level catering kitchen; and a heated indoor pool with a sauna and steam room.

“This development is at the top end of the market for the Gulf,” James Carry, designer of Wilson Associates, told Multi-Housing News. “We’ve really emphasized the outdoor living aspect in this project. We want the residents to feel like they are living in a resort or staying at a five-star hotel. It’s a relatively small development at 41 units, so you get a sense of that resort lifestyle with the great views, public spaces and beach access. It’s a comfortable place to live.”
