Luxury Community Underway in Fort Worth Historic Neighborhood

Embrey Partners has broken ground on the Kelley, a 10-acre, 353-unit community in Fort Worth, Texas. The company will also restore the adjacent Garvey Residence, a Victorian era home and a recorded Texas Historic Landmark. Additionally, Embrey will be donating and assisting with the relocation of the Talbott-Wall house to a lot nearby. Occupancy is scheduled for spring 2018.

Located on Samuels Avenue, once one of Fort Worth’s wealthiest areas, The Kelley will be adjacent to the Trinity River and the future Trinity River Vision project. The Class A community will offer one- and two-bedroom luxury apartments, which will average 914 square feet. Additionally, the developer’s plans include townhomes with attached garages.

The community will incorporate a dedicated amenity building featuring a business lounge, a game room and a fitness center. Outdoor amenities will include a swimming pool, multiple dog parks, as well as a pet washing station.

For the restoration plans of the Garvey Residence, Embrey Partners collaborated with the city’s Historic & Cultural Landmarks Commission and with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. “The Garvey Residence is too important in the history of Fort Worth to allow it to continue to deteriorate,” John Kirk, Embrey’s executive vice president of development, said in prepared remarks.
