Wood Partners Starts Upscale Project in Suburban Portland
The company's fourth community in the Portland area, Alta Civic Station in Gresham, Ore., will offer 318 units and is slated to open in the spring of 2021.
Construction is now underway on the latest luxury apartment community in suburban Portland, Ore. Alta Civic Station, a 318-unit rental property from Wood Partners, has broken ground at 1699 NW Civic Drive in Gresham, a growing suburb on the east side of the Portland metropolitan area.

The apartment community will offer studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, as well as live-work townhome-style residences. The list of the community’s amenities will be topped by a community room with social areas and kitchen. The project will also place a half-acre public plaza next to the MAX Light Rail station on Civic Drive. That plaza will provide outdoor gathering spaces and a children’s play area.

Gresham is predicted to become the greater Portland area’s top submarket in the years ahead. The municipality is anticipated to lead in both occupancy and rent growth. Alta Civic Station will be within close proximity to numerous employment centers. The area is home to a trio of major semiconductor manufacturing companies. Additional large employers include Subaru, US Bank and Boeing. Multiple MAX Light Rail stations in the area offer residents a number of alternatives in commuting to nearby job hubs.
Also nearby are shops and casual and fine dining restaurants, as well as convenient access to Gresham’s 23 parks, such as North Gresham and Red Sunset Parks.
