Luxury Apartments Planned for Former Red Cross Building Site in Cincinnati
A 17-story luxury residential tower will rise at Eighth and Sycamore in downtown Cincinnati.

Cincinnati—The downtown Cincinnati skyline will soon be enriched by a mixed-use project developed by North American Properties and NorthPointe Group, dubbed 8th and Sycamore.
Designed by John Senhauser Architects, the $52 million, 17-story residential tower will transform the northeastern corner of the city’s central business district. The Eighth and Sycamore development has a new development partner, the Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC), responsible with developing the 500-space public parking garage and retail portion of the structure.

The project was announced three years ago, and will rise at the site of the former two-story Red Cross building at the southeast corner of Eighth and Sycamore Street. The convenient location will allow residents to walk to the Central Business District and Over-the-Rhine. Moreover, they will be able to take advantage of several nearby Red Bike stations, Zipcar rentals, as well as the streetcar that will run just a block away when the service begins in fall 2016.
The tower will offer 133 luxury apartments with studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans, including some residences with den spaces. Unit amenities will include quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances and additional luxury finishes. Community amenities include pool and sun deck, party room, well-appointed exercise room and a grand lobby. The street level will consist of two commercial spaces with potential to accommodate retail, dining or entertainment tenants.
