Lowe has completed the first of two nine-story buildings at Mason and Main, a 550-unit development in Seattle. The 335-unit tower comprises one- and two-bedroom apartments. The second building, which will encompass 215 residential units, is slated for delivery in the last quarter of 2022.

Mason and Main is taking shape near downtown Seattle within the 30-acre Yesler Terrace master-planned community. The development team also includes Ankrom Moisan Architects and Compass as general contractor, while Greystar is providing property management.

At completion, both buildings will encompass a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments, 137 of which will be designated as affordable housing, as well as 6,800 square feet of ground-floor retail, 315 parking stalls and a new public neighborhood park. Designed to achieve LEED Gold certification, the property will feature smart-home technology.

Interiors will have quartz countertops, woodgrain-plank flooring and full-size washers and dryers, as well as private patios and balconies in select units. Common-area amenities will include coworking spaces, a karaoke and screening room, conference spaces, outdoor kitchens, a community garden, two fitness centers and several pet-friendly features.

Located at 209 12th Ave. S. and 1020 S. Main St., the development site is also close to International District and Capitol Hill. Interstates 5 and 90 are within 1 mile of the property and there are several light rail stations within walking distance.
