New York—Leasing is underway at Prism at Park Avenue South, the new rental property from Equity Residential. Prism is the rental portion of the 40-story, architecturally significant hybrid rental-condominium tower designed by architect Christian de Portzamparc, winner of the acclaimed architectural Pritzker Prize in 1994, and renowned for bold and modern designs.

No two apartments are exactly alike at Prism. De Portzamparc utilized magnificent sculptural glass walls that yielded distinctive yet exceptionally functional floor plans. Some units feature floor plans that extend over the street, giving residents the sense of floating over the hustle-bustle of urban life below.

Occupying floors two through 22, the rental apartments at Prism range from studio to three-bedroom residences. All apartment homes feature dramatic cityscape views, with select units providing private terraces. Top floors offer the condominium residences of 400 Park Avenue South, developed by Toll Brothers City Living. The partnership with Toll Brothers enables Equity Residential to give renters access to an exceptional condominium-quality amenity package, thereby establishing new standards for modern luxury living.

“We’re delivering residences designed by a world-class architect,” says George Kruse, first vice president of development with Equity Residential. “Prism continues to transform this already exciting neighborhood with an architectural gem that is drawing strong interest from potential renters . . . Our residents will be able to live in high-end rental residences with access to five-star condo amenities. We consider this a win-win for everyone involved.”

Prism will pamper residents and their guests with a fully equipped fitness center, a yoga and spin studio, lap pool and steam and sauna rooms.

The amenity package also features a 24-hour concierge, multi-functional conference room, resident lounge with catering kitchen and private dining room, golf simulator, screening room, and personal bike and storage spaces.

Apartments offer floor-to-ceiling windows and wide plank, white oak wood floors, spacious kitchens with white oak flat front cabinetry and quartz countertops and luxurious baths with white pearl marble countertops and custom vanities. Some apartment homes feature soaking tubs and glass-enclosed showers with hand and rain head options. In-unit washer-dryers are standard in all homes. Model apartments designed by BNO design can be previewed, by appointment only.

The extraordinarily vibrant neighborhood Prism will call home—one of the most exciting districts in which to live in New York City—has in recent years witnessed scant new residential development.

The trendy Gansevoort Park Avenue NYC Hotel stands nearby. The soon to be LEED-certified Prism is a short walk from the legendary Madison Square and Union Square parks, as well as convenient transportation terminals.
