Los Angeles—Alliance Residential recently announced the Grand Opening of Broadstone Candara at Hancock Park. The unique collection of 103 luxury apartment homes, located at 738 Wilcox Ave., is perfectly situated between Larchmont Village and the Wilshire Country Club, just off Melrose Boulevard near Paramount Studios.

The gorgeous, old Spanish homes found in the surrounding neighborhood of Hancock Park inspired the Spanish Colonial Revival exterior architecture created by Santa Monica-based DFH Architects. The majestic Moorish-influenced interior design brings the architecture of Southern Spain to life, along with the contemporary amenities of a world-class boutique hotel. “We really look to the local community for guidance as to what the people want to see,” Alliance Residential Company’s Vice President of Marketing and Operations Alicia Scott told MHN. “People look to live in these neighborhoods for the history and culture and we like to embrace that in our design.”

Designed for professionals, studio and entertainment executives, cosmopolitan couples and anyone pursuing a luxurious and exceptional lifestyle, Broadstone Candara at Hancock Park offers easy access to walkable tree-lined neighborhoods, restaurants, nightlife, shopping, premium museums and other cultural activities.

Broadstone Candara provides a range of innovative, themed common spaces and lavish amenities. The common area interior architecture, designed by H Hendy Associates, features richly detailed oversized furniture, intricate tile work, statement colors, dramatic lighting and intuitive details, such as furniture crafted from repurposed wood and the crafty chandelier in the leasing office made of keys.

The residence interiors by Ariel Fox Design bestow tranquility filled with classy, timeless traces and a hint of romance. The rich color palette evokes the frill of gemstones like lapis lazuli, malachite, moonstone and onyx, interspersed with soft neutrals and glimmers of gold. Lush textures, decorative lamps and works of art contrast nicely with the simple furniture forms to create a comfortable living environment with bold character.

The apartment community presents a lavish collection of amenities such as a zero-edge pool with LED lighting, SONOS underwater speakers, a spa and kitchenette, a lounge and a large workspace with conferencing capabilities. “We wanted to cater to those who aren’t necessarily working a 9-5 job,” said Scott. “We wanted to give people a space to work and/or meet with clients that is separate from their personal home but still very classy and professional.” Other amenities include an indoor entertaining bar with TV and Wi-Fi, rooftop deck with 360-degree views of the Hollywood Hills, Griffith Observatory, Hancock Park and LA skyline, a pet salon, a European-style open-air café with Wi-Fi, electric vehicle charging stations and a fitness club equipped with state-of-the-art Technogym cardio equipment with personal TVs and Internet along with full-circuit training equipment and free weights.

Each apartment home was carefully crafted to feel like a personal sanctuary, with definitive attention to detail for comfort, convenience and style. Some features include: gourmet kitchen with granite counters, custom cabinetry and wine refrigerator, top-of-the-line appliances including dishwasher and in-home washer/dryer, luxurious hotel-style bathroom fixtures, grained wood floors, MP3 doorbells, electric mesh shades, high-speed Internet, air conditioning, storage space, sundeck, parking garage, elevator and on-site management and maintenance.

Broadstone Candara is seeking LEED Silver Certification. The building and residences were designed and built with many eco-friendly features that reduce energy needs, support sustainable living and create a healthier home.
