Kisco Senior Living has acquired The Kensington at Walnut Creek, a 184-unit senior housing asset in Walnut Creek, Calif. The property, which opened 34 years ago, is Kisco’s second community in this market.

The property has one- and two-bedroom floorplans for assisted living as well as memory care units. Each unit has its own outdoor space, while common-area amenities include several courtyards, walking paths and a putting green. Residents can take part in exercise classes, community outings and live entertainment.

Located on 6 acres at 1580 Geary Road, The Kensington at Walnut Creek is halfway between Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill. Several shopping, dining and entertainment options such as a Whole Foods Market and Las Trampas Regional Wilderness Park are available within a 5-mile radius.

In 2017, Kisco Senior Living partnered with PGIM Real Estate to purchase the 187-unit Byron Park in Walnut Creek. In June, a joint venture between Kisco and Harrison Street acquired another California senior living property. The luxury 201-unit Crestavilla in Laguna Niguel traded for $115.6 million. Kisco now operates 22 senior living properties across six states.
