KIRCO has celebrated the completion of Monark Grove Clarkston, a 148-unit senior housing community in Clarkston, Mich. Beztak will operate the 189,000-square-foot community under the Monark Grove brand.

Monark Grove Clarkston features 77 independent living units, 22 memory care units and 49 assisted living units. The property encompasses studio, one- and two-bedroom floorplans ranging between 441 and 1,346 square feet.

Common-area amenities include an art studio, pickle ball and bocce courts, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a library, a salon and barbershop, a pub and a bistro, garden areas and an outdoor fireplace. In-unit amenities consist of high-end interior finishes, stainless-steel appliances, washer and dryers, large windows, as well as patios or balconies.

The community’s French-country inspired architectural style promotes social engagement, while providing live entertainment along with opportunities to attend classes and lectures.

Located at 7373 Sashabaw Road, the 17-acre site is near Interstate 75, which provides direct access to downtown Detroit. There are many dining options, retail spaces and entertainment venues in the property’s proximity. Green areas such as Independence Oaks County Park and Orion Oaks County Park are within a 5-mile radius from the community.

Oakland County Commissioner Karen Joliat and Executive Director of the Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce Jennifer Fair Margraf attended the ribbon-cutting event.

A $72.5 million project for a mixed-residence senior living campus in Holland, Mich., is currently underway. Earlier this year, Resthaven broke ground on the property, which will feature single-family homes, duplexes and multifamily apartment buildings. Construction is expected to be complete in 2024.
