Karl Lagerfeld Designs Lobby of Miami Condo Project

Miami—The Estates at Acqualina, a two-tower condo project developed near Miami’s Sunny Isles Beach Acqualina Resort & Spa, recently revealed a rendering of Karl Lagerfeld’s lobby design of the South Tower, also known as 777 Via Acqualina, scheduled to be completed in 2020. The Estates at Acqualina is the first condominium project in the U.S. to involve the emblematic designer. GSF Acquisition LLC, an affiliate of The Trump Group, is the developer and owner of the community.

Karl Lagerfeld’s vision merges both classical architecture and contemporary art. For the South Tower, photographs of Roman fountains and arches, taken by Karl Lagerfeld himself, will be etched into the wall panels, ceiling screens and skylights. These images, along with a working fountain at the center of the lobby, complete the oceanfront views that surround The Estates. A second tower, which will be known as the North Tower, is also part of the project and will feature a Karl Lagerfeld lobby design, too.

This is one of Lagerfeld’s supreme talents, knowing how to create in a way that is both timeless and of-the-moment all at once,” said Jules Trump, developer of The Estates at Acqualina.

Construction of The Estates at Acqualina will take place in two phases beginning late 2017. The 152-unit South Tower and Villa Acqualina, a 45,000-square-foot residents-only amenity community, will be completed during the first phase. Villa Acqualina includes a Circus Maximus, a bowling alley, a spa and fitness center, as well as a restaurant with unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean. The North Tower, also known as 888 Via Acqualina, will be constructed in phase II, offering 92 units. Each condo will be delivered furniture-ready and equipped with appliances, imported stone countertops, smart-home technology and soaring ceilings.

Prices of The Estates at Acqualina residences range from $3.8 to $9.5 million and can get as high as $29 million for penthouses.
