Following the closing of a $190 million construction loan for a multifamily property in Santa Clarita, Calif., JPI has begun construction at Jefferson Texas Plaza, a 282-unit community in Dallas. The development marks the company’s 10th project in the Irving-Las Colinas submarket.

Located on approximately 9 acres, off Loop 12 and adjacent to the University of Dallas, the community will be close to the Urban Center of Las Colinas, Toyota Music Factory and Lake Carolyn, which provides access to various hike and bike trails. Jefferson Texas Plaza is set to feature in-unit amenities such as granite countertops and high-end appliance packages. Furthermore, some ground-floor units will include balconies, or patios.

The community is slated to encompass a swimming pool, private garages, fitness center with yoga studio, two-story clubhouse with coffee bar, dog park and pedestrian trails that connects it to the University of Dallas.

“Las Colinas is a thriving submarket that has undergone tremendous economic growth within the last several years,” Brad Taylor, JPI’s chief development officer, said in a prepared statement. “New developments, such as the Pavilion at the Toyota Music Factory and other retail entities have made Las Colinas a popular and lively destination where people can truly live, work and play.”
