Jefferson Apartment Group, a multifamily developer and operator specializing in communities in the eastern U.S., has acquired One Upland, which is in the Boston suburb of Norwood, Mass. The community has a traditional neighborhood design with tree-lined sidewalks and integrated, tucked-away garages, according to McLean, Va.-based JAG.
Campanelli and Thorndike Development completed the development in 2016. It’s located at Upland Woods, and includes 262 apartments spread across seven buildings, featuring one-, two- and three-bedroom units.
Amenities
Common amenities include a clubhouse, pool, and a lawn with fireplace, movie amphitheater and dog parks. Wooded trails on which to bike, walk or run are also accessible to the property.
The property is located on the border of Norwood and Westwood, which puts it close to MBTA and the 128-train station. One Upland thus offers commuters access to commuter trains and Amtrak service to downtown Boston, Providence, New York and Washington, D.C.
“We are growing our acquisition program in our core markets,” said Jim Butz, JAG CEO. “One Upland is a unique opportunity in a low supply market.”
