J. Fisher Lands $60M for Salt Lake City Project
The development will feature more than 200 units.

J. Fisher Cos. has obtained a $60 million senior loan for the construction of The Edison, a 201-unit multifamily project in Salt Lake City. PCCP provided the financing.
The transit-oriented project will rise at 250 S. 200 E., within the city’s downtown and close to several retail destinations. Salt Lake City International Airport is less than 9 miles away.
The building will feature five residential stories over two levels of parking and will also include 7,800 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The unit mix is set to comprise of one- and two-bedroom units with an average size of 823 square feet.
Apartments will feature walk-in closets, 10-foot ceilings, washers/dryers, quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances. There will be private balconies or patios in select layouts.

Common-area amenities are expected to include a swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, fitness center, golf simulator and an arcade room. Additionally, the mid-rise will have a clubhouse, coworking space, outdoor fireplace and a courtyard with barbecues.
Construction is set to commence next month, with completion scheduled for February 2027. Partners on the project include architecture firm Dwell Design Studio, civil engineer Talisman Civil Consultants, interior designer HPA Design Group and landscape architect Design Workshop, Building Salt Lake reports.
More communities to come online in Salt Lake City
Metro Salt Lake City had 89 multifamily developments under construction as of January, which are expected to add about 18,980 units to its inventory, according to Yardi Matrix information. Additionally, there were more than 230 prospective projects or in different planning stages.
Out of the projects already in development stages, 71 communities are expected to come online this year. One of them is Hines’ first office-to-residential conversion, which will transform a 217,000-square-foot building into a 217-unit community. Dubbed Seraph, the 25-story high-rise, is scheduled for completion this fall.
