IREM Kicks Off Year-Long 80th Anniversary Observance

The Institute of Real Estate Management recently launched a year-long observance of its 80th anniversary.

Chicago—The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®) recently launched a year-long observance of its 80th anniversary. National and local initiatives over the coming months will focus on the organization’s rich past and historic achievements. They also will underscore IREM’s ever-growing role as a global leader in educating real estate managers and certifying their competence, enforcing ethical business practices, and welcoming into its vibrant membership community industry practitioners across all functions and experience levels.

Commenting on the significance of the anniversary milestone, IREM® President Elizabeth (Beth) Machen, CPM®, stated: “We believe that well-managed properties improve the quality of life for the people who live, work and shop in them and, at the same time, build asset value for owners and investors. To achieve these ends, we are proud that IREM and IREM® Members have led efforts to transform real estate management into a highly valued profession that effectively serves the interests of all of its constituencies.”
