Illinois Maintenance-free Townhomes Break Ground
Lexington Homes has broken ground on new townhomes that aim to appeal to "buyers of all ages."
Chicago—Lexington Row at Port Clinton Place Townhomes have broken ground in Vernon Hills, Ill. The maintenance-free community from Chicago-based Lexington Homes stands less than a mile from downtown Vernon Hills and offers homes with up to three bedrooms. It is situated within the acclaimed Stevenson High School district and near an array of shopping and dining options.
Accented by front balconies and a combination of brick, stone and Hardie Board exteriors, Lexington Row townhomes are base priced from $339,900. They are offered in two floor plans of 1,758 to 1,913 square feet and feature two or three bedrooms, 2.5 baths and attached two-car garages.
“Like our other townhome communities located close to suburban town centers, Lexington Row’s location should appeal to buyers of all ages,” said Jeff Benach, co-principal of Lexington Homes. “The homes offer open floor plans that provide young professionals with an affordable new-construction option in a thriving neighborhood and baby boomers the convenience of downsizing in luxury, without diminishing their retirement accounts.”
Flexible floor plans feature great rooms and larger kitchens. Hardwood floors, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances are among the high-end finishes that come standard. Each plan offers a master suite with walk-in closet and private master bath with a soaking tub and/or walk-in shower and granite double-bowl vanity.
All plans also feature gourmet kitchens, large kitchen islands featuring breakfast bar overhang and access to a sprawling balcony. Ideal for entertaining, the open kitchen flows into the dining and great rooms for maximum flexibility.
The 1,776-square-foot Warrington design offers three bedrooms, 2.5 baths and the option to include a third bedroom or spacious second-bedroom suite, including a walk-in closet and private bath. The 1,914-square-foot, three-bedroom, 2.5-bath Coventry offers an array of floorplan and upgrade options, and the ability to turn the main floor breakfast nook into a “super” laundry room.
“Buyers really appreciate having the freedom to tailor our plans to meet their needs,” Benach said. “Both plans give buyers the option to add a powder room to the lower-level family room, making the space ideal for a number of uses, including an entertainment or exercise room. Another design element popular with buyers, found in The Warrington, is a main-level den, which makes for a great home office or kids’ playroom.”
Lexington Row offers conveniences commuters are sure to appreciate. It’s a few miles from I-94 and I-294 and the Vernon Hills Metra station, from which residents can access downtown Chicago, the north-suburban office corridor and O’Hare International Airport.
“High-end finishes and open layouts, combined with the maintenance-free lifestyle and numerous amenities surrounding the community offer a generous balance of luxury and convenience,” Benach concluded.
