Hunt Provides Loan for 152-Unit SC Property

The funding is for the purchase of Huntington Apartments, an 11-building community built in 1979 and located within the Greenville-Anderson-Mauldin MSA.

Hunt Mortgage Group has financed the acquisition of Huntington Apartments, a 152-unit property in Anderson, S.C. The company provided a $5.9 million loan through Fannie Mae’s Green Rewards program. Aline Capital arranged the financing. According to Yardi Matrix data, Sante Realty Investments is the owner and manager of the asset.

Located at 150 Continental St., Huntington Apartments provides easy access to Interstate 85 and the Anderson Regional Airport. The property is situated in the vicinity of Westside High School and several industrial and multifamily properties. Built in 1979, the asset features 40 one-, 80 two- and 32 three-bedroom units, ranging from 665 to 1,135 square feet. Amenities at the 11-building property include:

  • a swimming pool
  • community room
  • tennis court
  • laundry facilities
  • 216 parking spaces

“The sponsor intends to upgrade the unit interiors, as well as make energy-efficient repairs that will lower expenses for both the tenant and landlord,” Keith Morris, vice president of Hunt Mortgage Group’s Atlanta office, said in prepared remarks.

In another recent deal, Hunt Mortgage Group worked on behalf of Thalhimer Stratford to secure financing for the purchase of Stratford at Williamsburg, a 156-unit community in Williamsburg, Va.
