Hunt Mortgage Adds New SVP
Suzanne Cope, who previously worked at the company when it was called Centerline Capital Group, will be responsible for originating and closing affordable and FHA multifamily loans nationwide.
Suzanne Cope returns to Hunt Mortgage Group as senior vice president of the affordable housing/FHA group team. She will be based in Denver and will report to Senior Managing Director Paul Weissman.
Cope will be responsible for originating and closing affordable and FHA multifamily loans nationwide. Back in 2010, when she worked at Hunt Mortgage, at that time known as Centerline Capital Group, she helped re-launch and fully develop an affordable housing lending platform, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA executions, as well as affiliate executions for conduit and bridge lending for multifamily housing financing. Prior to rejoining Hunt Mortgage, she served as senior vice president in the affordable multifamily division of Bellwether Enterprise for more than two years.
Cope holds a master’s degree in real estate development from University of Southern California and a B.S. degree in finance and marketing from Tulane University. Prior to joining Hunt Mortgage, she worked at Fannie Mae for more than five years as senior account manager, where she managed and structured transactions for affordable and market-rate housing mortgage relationships.
“Suzie is a veteran industry executive with extensive experience in loan origination in affordable and market-rate mortgages and has a proven track record of success,” Weissman said in a statement. “Her return to Hunt Mortgage Group signals her confidence in the expanded platform and the strong additions we have made to the group across the country.”Â
Recently, Hunt Mortgage provided a $14.5 million bridge loan for the refinancing of Tess O’Brien Apartments, a 123-unit community in Portland, Ore.
