Eastside Rendering - 2El Paso, Texas—Construction has begun on a new transit-oriented development in Richardson, Texas. Hunt Companies Inc. (Hunt) announced the 250,000-square-foot project is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2016.

The development will feature 280 market-rate apartments in a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments and lofts.

Located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and home to the Telecom Corridor, the 4.98 acre property is nearby the North Central Expressway and Campbell Road. New residents will have easy access to these transit routes along with two DART rail stops.

“An array of open spaces have been designed to offer an attractive selection of amenities for the residents,” Hunt Development Senior Vice President Jim Dobbie told MHN. Amenities will include a rooftop sky deck lounge that residents can use for parties and events, a stunning resort-style pool and courtyard, a poolside fitness center with a surplus of window space for natural light, and a fenced-in dog park.

All units will feature granite counter tops, pendant lights, stainless steel appliances, and hard-surface floors throughout living rooms and kitchens. Ground floor units will have direct access to the courtyards and surrounding sidewalks.

Hunt’s partner in this development is Skyrise Properties, also known as Fobare Commercial. BGO Architects was chosen for the architecture and SJL Design Group will be handling the interior design. Nomad Studio is the landscape design architect.

This project is the first of more to come with Hunt leading the development in support of its affiliates Moss & Associates, acting as general contractor, and Pinnacle Property Management Services as chosen property manager.

“Hunt is excited to begin this development which involves the Hunt family of companies providing services from conception to completion and beyond,” said James Dobbie, senior vice president of Hunt’s Development Division. “Hunt, Moss, and Pinnacle together form a highly qualified team to successfully deliver this project to the residents of Richardson.”

Pre-leasing is expected to begin in spring 2016.
