Lewisville, Texas—Multifamily developer Huffines Communities, members of the Denton County Transit Authority and other community members recently celebrated the grand opening of the second phase of the master-planned community Hebron 121 Station.
The second phase, which began in 2013, adds 444 new one- and two-bedroom apartments to the market, bringing the total number of completed multifamily units to 678 at the development.
“We’re excited to see the expansion and new construction in one of Lewisville’s premier developments,” says Lewisville Mayor Dean Ueckert, who attended the event. “As we expected, there is great demand for this resort-type lifestyle with The Denton County Transit Authority (DCTA) A-Train commuter rail nearby to connect to various employment centers through the DFW region as well as to University of North Texas and Texas Woman’s University.”
Convenient access to transit isn’t the only thing Hebron 121 Station brings to the table. The 90-acre multi-phase community also features a host of resort-quality amenities including a new 10,000-square-foot clubhouse, a sand beach and 236,000-gallon pool with swim-up bar, 86-foot-wide grotto waterfall, cool plunge, eight cabanas and a 900-square-foot outdoor pavilion. The outdoor pavilion includes lounge seating, big-screen television and barbecue area.
The architecture of the clubhouse exterior is designed in a Southern coastal style featuring a 10,000-square-foot wrap around porch and balcony. Inside of the clubhouse, residents have access to a full-service fitness center that features strength, cardio and free weight equipment as well as a soft-floor aerobic room. Other clubhouse elements include a game room with pool table and a media room with two 90-inch televisions.
“Our goal for the development of Hebron 121 Station was to offer resort-style living in the middle of the Metroplex,” says Phillip Huffines, who co-owns Huffines Communities with his brother Donald Huffines. “Now all the residents can enjoy each of the amenities Hebron 121 Station has to offer.”
The $300 million development will eventually include 1,500 units as well as office and retail space. Humphrey and Partners is working with Huffines Communities as a strategic partner. CF Jordan Construction is the general contractor and Pinnacle Property Management is handling the management of the community.
